Prof. Krishna Kumar Pande's journey began with a foundation in engineering excellence. He earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with honors from the prestigious BIT Mesra. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, he pursued a Master's degree in Remote Sensing from Roorkee University, where his dedication was rewarded with a coveted Gold Medal. Furthering his academic pursuits, he went on to obtain a PhD in Management from Kumaon University Nainital, solidifying his expertise in both technical and managerial fields.

His career path was marked by a desire to contribute meaningfully to society. He began his journey at the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd (NHPC), where he became a key member of the team that established the organization's Consultancy division. This experience instilled in him a deep understanding of the intricacies of large-scale projects and the importance of strategic planning. Driven by a deep connection to his home state and a passion for education, Prof. Pande made a pivotal decision. He returned to Uttarakhand to dedicate his expertise to enriching the academic landscape. His initial focus was on revitalizing the Birla Institute of Applied Sciences at Bhimtal in 2000. This successful endeavor paved the way for him to establish several other academic institutions across the state, each contributing significantly to the educational landscape.

In 2008, Prof. Pande became one of the core members instrumental in the establishment of Teerthanker Mahaveer University. He played a crucial role in shaping the university from its inception till 2021, guiding its development and fostering its growth into a premier institution of higher learning. Prof. Pande's contributions extend far beyond the walls of individual universities. He is a seasoned professional and administrator with a wealth of experience in institution building. His impressive portfolio boasts the establishment of six professional institutions in Engineering and Management, from conceptual planning to operational success. Notably, two of these institutions are universities, showcasing his remarkable ability to translate vision into reality.
